Christians in America, don’t walk, RUN! ...to your nearest bookstore and get this book! Read it from cover to cover, which won’t be hard because you won’t be able to put it down. You will be broken and humbled and inspired and awed and challenged and encouraged.
David takes you on a journey (his journey) through the Himalayan mountains and the book of Luke. He will tell of his hikes, his daily scripture reading and journaling, and most importantly his conversations with the people he meets along the way that wreck him, and convict him and enlighten him.
He ultimately realizes that to be a Christian means counting the cost and laying down your life, your possessions, your plans and your dreams to follow Jesus wherever and however he leads you. And that being the church means gathering together with people who have counted the cost and who are laying down their lives in this way.
At the end of each chapter are a couple of reflection questions to inspire you to think deeper about what you have just read.
