For all the stressed and harried moms out there (you know who you are) this book is for you. I know you’re going to say you don’t have time to read this book, but you need to make the time (even just one chapter a day for twenty days) because it will help you and you will be glad you did. It confirms that you are normal, that many other moms feel just like you do. It gives you tips, skills, encouragement, scripture and prayers to help you during the sometimes difficult, lonely, stressful, and discouraging “mommy years”.  Valerie gets it—she is living in the trenches of mommy life just like you.

Each of the twenty short chapter deals with a pertinent topic such as emotions, flexibility, self-care, satisfaction, joy, guilt, marriage, and friendships. Each chapter ends with practical and helpful action steps, a scripture verse, and a prayer.  And you absolutely must read chapter 20, so don’t stop early.

A copy of this book was provided by a the publisher for review purposes.
