Just reading the title of this book, I didn’t know what to expect. Was this going to be a book on marriage or friendships, or just Christian living in general? I soon found that the key word this book is about is “intimacy”. As a married person I think of intimacy in the marital context. But oh, there is so much more. There is intimacy with friends, with family members, with co-workers, and most of all with God. I learned that vulnerability and suffering can increase intimacy. The author states that, “Every time we connect with someone in a shared experience, we have the potential to build intimacy.“.
Reading this book will help you improve your relationship with God, your spouse, family members, and friends.
